So did anyone end up watching this? I'm on episode 4 and I'm just not really liking this animated version all that much.
So I just watched a couple episodes today (about to start Episode 5) and i'm having a good time. The fact that it's a cartoon means that they can get into some even wackier crap although I will say that it lessens the appeal in some way since one of the reasons I like Trailer Park Boys is because it's mockumentary style and over the top scenario's in the real world. It's certainly different but I like it and really makes me nostalgic for some more TPB.
The pilot episode basically sold me on the idea. It was just straight up craziness that wouldn't be possible in the real world and I was having fun all throughout. It being a drug trip is a pretty cool way of bridging the gap between this and the actual show, I originally thought it would be a new beginning or something, glad thats not the case.
I'm wondering when this takes place though? I mean Mr. Lahey's their and Trinity has a son? But John Dunsworth (and Mr. Lahey as a character) died before that though? I mean I remember the episode where Lahey was written out and I don't remember Ricky being a Grandad so...
This doesn't relate to just the cartoon, but i'll never get used to the feeling of watching a show and that show making references to places that are near me, the Cole Harbour joke gave me a chuckle. Trailer Park Boys is the only show that can give that feel.
The show has kind of gotten me hyped up on Trailer Park Boys again, after i'm done with the animated series i'll go back and watch what i've missed.
