I've got these two cassette tapes that a friend loaned me, it contains an old radio show on them. He would like that they be somehow converted so that I can burn them off on a CD and listened in his car...

...how would I accomplish this? Any suggestions? Can I hook up a stereo/cassette player to a port on my PC then record off there?

Dumb question but hey you guys are the cure

right? :cry

Connect the headphone out of the cassette to the line in on your sound card. Set volume on the cassette to midway, and play the cassette. When you get a good audio level, record the track. Download Audacity if you don't have a sound recording program. You can record and trim your tracks with it, as well as convert to MP3, but i think you'll need LAME to do that.
