Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy - Siege animated series trailer

It is the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Watch the never before told stories of the Autobots vs Decepticons unfold as Optimus Prime and Megatron lead their iconic comrades to fight for their future. This war ends now. Premieres July 30 only on Netflix.

By Polygon Pictures, aka the same guys that did Prime, so this could actually be kinda interesting.

the 1st War For Cybertron game is an underrated great adaptation, IMOO the closest Transformers story to the feel of the famous animated movie. the 2nd best for me was the Platinum Games adaptation.

This is unrelated to those games though. Just based on their aesthetics not unlike how they were based on the war within comics.

Any reason why Frank Welker and Peter Cullen aren't involved? Did they retire?

Cost.

Ever since Cyberverse, Habro has been making use of non-union voice actors from a new-york based casting agency that impersonates the more famous actors, as going with big names like Peter Cullen and Frank Welker is simply unfeasible for limited budget shows like this. (it's made in order to promote an already existing toy line)

The current guy voicing Optimus prime (Jake Foushee) for example, actually got the role after doing a peter Cullen impression on The Ellen DeGeneres Show., and is actually only 21!

Don't feel it here, it's probably hard to passively do an impersonation full time.

I realize Peter Cullen won’t be around forever, but I can’t quickly acclimate to an Optimus not voiced by him.

But yes, what High Moon Studio did with Transformers was fantastic and this new series will do well to take cues from them.

I thought they didnt take on alternate vehicle forms until they got to Earth and emulated things they saw.

No, even the G1 series showcased their Cybertronian alt modes.

They didn’t look like Earth vehicles until they came to Earth.
