well i didnt like the first film all that much due that annoying asian girl and teh over the top truck/plane actions scene at the end. But the dude from Snatch showed alot of potential as an action hero so im hoping this one is better.

Nice, I liked the first transporter, the missle part, as well as when he greases himself up was hilarious. Transporter is a fun ride as long as your not taking it too seriously. Judging from the trailer it looks to have some over the top action too. Looking forward to it.

That french trailer has been around for months...

The american one was posted a day or two ago.

I dont care what anyone says, Transporter 1 was insanely amusing and fun. T2 looks to be the same, if not a bit darker. Not sure if I like him trying to save a kid rather than that hottie in the first one, but the action looks to be just as fun.

Grabbed that one off IGN, looking good. I dug the first one as pure brainless, good-looking fun, what with Statham kicking tail, the lush French setting, hot chick.

The second looks like it'll have maybe even more action. Also Frank has apparently ditched BMW for a new big-grilled A8 this time...and apparently still has that sketchy American/Brit accent. (IIRC Frank was scripted as American, but on the DVD Statham said he sorta gave up on the accent and just went somewhere in the middle in the first movie...:lol).

Transporter has its moments, some cool shooting and fighting sequences... but that driving sequence at the beginning wow that's one of the lamest chase sequences I've seen in awhile. For a movie to be called the Transporter... hype the BMW... and then have a badly done driving sequence in the car... that's a wee bit disappointing.

this man knows whats what. she is amazingly attractive and so close is an awesome flick.
though i think that her role in transporter was to be the irritating, spoiled, and rich damnsel in distress. she was there to just stand around, be idealistic and look good. worthless role. so i agree with kabuki.
chemistry was off too, should have included a steamy sex scene. and yeah, her english accent is pretty bad. i didnt know what she was saying.

I'd really love to agree with you, and I agree that Statham is awesome; but he's no Bean Bandit. Bean never broke his own rules. Which was my biggest gripe with The Transporter.

Hopefully removing the GAF Yellow Fevah aspect from this one will make it a more tolerable experience. I dunno, I can't get behind any action hero that takes leave of his senses at a trace of snatch.

The first was one good for what it was, a pure action movie. If the movie was actually done in the 80's we would have ten sequels by now.

I actually own the dvd to this one, quite a bit of decent extras in it too. They explain how certain scenes were taken out to so it wouldn't get an "R" rating. I can only imagine the kind of movie that would have been if they were shooting for a "R" rating.

I can't say I agree with you you thinking that Blade 2 sucked so Bad, but damn Blade 3 sucked so bad it should have ripped apart the time space continuum and sent us all back to the prehistoric era of this planet.

You can't pull that crap when playing the "Transporter was a good action/popcorn flick" card. If you're going to permit those greivous errors of Transporter to slip by, then they slip by for Blade 2 as well.

Not to mention, face pound to face pound - Blade 2 had less bullshit plot to interfere with it's symphony of brutal violence.

I'll admit The Transporter had some nifty fights, and god damn do I like Jason Statham; but the overall package is ruined by a totally imbalanced ratio of asskicking per minute when stacked against Blade 2.

I'll remain hopeful that Transporter 2 will be a sufficient apology for the waste of my time that The Transporter was.
