Travel Sickness

Any Gaffers have travel sickness?

Got a 5 hour train journey in a few days and don't know how I'm going to power through it. I can just barely do 1 hour train journeys before I start feeling hot, flushed and the nausea creeping in.

Do Scopolamine patches work?

Just 2 minutes in a car/bus is enough for me to twist myself in nausea. I always had to depend on travel sickness pills. Though, I don't get sick from trains since they don't move the same way cars and buses do.

Have you tried these wrist bands? Don't know if they work. Someone recommended them to me.

Tried these wristbands for a very long boat ride (from Sweden to Poland) and I didn't get sick at all. Not sure if they would be as effective in cars/buses though.. cars are the worst for me. I find sleeping and eating to help a lot.

Badly. I always have to drive. Otherwise I'm sick in the car after five minutes.
Can't go backwards on a train or anything.

I used to throw up all the time during plane trips. Now I just take a gravol and can endure a 20-hr flight (it's still mindnumbingly long, though). Wonder-drug!

If I tried to read a newspaper/book/phone in a moving vehicle, I get sick. It was worse when I was a kid. I had to endure every car ride because they always made me feel sick all the time. I'm glad I'm over that.

Anyway, I deal with it nowadays by just looking out the window.
