Trump, speaking at a raucous rally in Huntsville, Ala., on Friday night in support of incumbent Sen. Luther Strange in the runoff election, didn't specifically mention Kaepernick by name.
But Trump took an apparent shot at the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback when he said, ”Luther and I and everyone in this arena tonight are unified by the same great American values. We're proud of our country. We respect our flag."
He continued: ”Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, say, ‘Get that son of a b---- off the field right now. Out, you're fired!'"
