I was going to extend my desktop into my television for keeping things open, how worried about burn in should I be, is that still a problem?

its just a flat tube, samsung 27 inch, not a projection tv or anything

Tubes get it, but we are talking a hundred hours in a row or more.

Ok, im using the extended desktop for irc, messenger, and stuff like that, I just wanna make sure I wont be fucking up my tv, cause stuff like that is fairly static

It's the same technolgy as your monitor, if you aren't worried about your computer monitor, don't worry about your TV.
