...this was not worthy of its own thread.

Ratings for particular shows you enjoy should go in the threads in which those shows are discussed. In the case of Everwood, which GAF has deemed to be unworthy of a thread, chances are likely that we don't give a shit.

And seriously, if someone started a Joey thread, I'd Shawn Michaels that thing FAST.

Well i cant delete it. And i was thinking about posting this in the smallville thread that i posted, but then i figure, the link points to alot of shows, not just smallville, so make a new thread that talks about all of the shows.

The only good thing I see on that article you linked is Lost doing so well. Smallville I quit a long time ago once it started evolving into a poor version of Angel. I'm glad Fox is sinking since they are the worst network ever cancelling alot of good shows for reality shit.

You know, saying what I said, actually having a TV Ratings thread might not be a bad idea, if there's interest in it. Posting each day's ratings at random really does nothing for no one, but to actually have one post where we can post daily Ratings wouldn't be a bad option.

Lots of changing in the past few years

NBC went from 1st to 3rd/4th
ABC went back up to 2nd and 1st
CBS has reined first for awhile, but it loosing some ground and has been frequently changing place with ABC!
Fox.. is well Fox

Serveral of the new CBS shows are doing well, so I don't see them lossing their dominance this season. NBC needs to find some new hits, and quick. ABC needs to keep doing what they are doing, Lost and Desperate Housewives are huge hits, both new and will be around for several seasons. Their new show COMMANDER IN CHIEF has done great also.

In summary, ABC looks on route to go from bottom contender to top contender. Quite a turn around. CBS needs to seriously watch out, if the CSI craze dies out, they will be in serious trouble.

That's completely and utterly correct, I'll just add a few things on FOX.

Without Idol, Fox is idle. Simple as that. They're only success right now is the awesome House, and Prison Break is doing sustainable good stuff on Mondays.

The problem is that when Idol comes back in January, the show airing after it is the one show that Fox is already having success with. The Post-Idol period is often used to boost ratings for a show (Which is why House is now the success it is instead of being cancelled), but House doesn't need it.

The problem is, FOX might need House in that time period. It has the new ABC Success Commander-in-Chief, the consistent ratings success of The Amazing Race (Three Emmys too, woo), and NBC has the most successful new sitcom of the year in My Name is Earl plus the newly ratings-successful The Office. If they try to parachute in a new show without any real audience, they are going to have a hard time competing against a lot of fantastic shows. While Race was there last year, the other networks didn't have anything as strong as the new shows.

So, they will be in a bind. While House will continue to do fantastically in the slot, it is also a spot where they could build a new show. I don't think they have anywhere worthwhile to move House, so I think they'll leave it in the competitive slot, but the rest of their new shows are Dead on Arrival for a reason.
