Am i the only one who wants tv sized monitors. ie 50inch+ monitors without all the useless bloat.

I have no need for tvchannels. Netflix or amazon, advertisment. I want nothing of that. I want a clean nonbloated set up.

People are using those LG CX (even though when it's OLED, I am not sure about that)

It seems to be the case that TV sized monitors are far too expensive and too small a market to be worth it. Especially with the features of modern TVs (120hz, G-Sync/Freesync Premium), monitors in that range have very little chance.

I am using the Philips Momentum 43 inch 4K Screen as my main screen and I am very happy with it.

It is great for working with databases and for gaming

I use my LG C9 as my monitor. Almost never use the Netflix and other stuff (though its nice to have). Doesnt bother me at all that either. You can always do that. I dont see any issue.

I use a 55" LG BX OLED as mine. Didn't need the CX because it's a PC monitor and I don't need that level of brightness burning a hole in my skull all day, my CX is in the living room. Can save yourself a few hundred doing that.

It's awesome, would never go back. It's just like having 4x 27" monitors during work time and then I'm able to play games at up to 4k120 when I clock off. Phenomenal. Make sure you get a desk deep enough that you aren't squished up against the screen, though, I bought a new one that's 100cm deep for the 55" and it works a treat. I made the leap because I was sick of playing games on a muddy PC screen and then switching to an OLED for PS5 and remembering what I was missing, there's just nothing like it. Transforms even old PC games. And OLED monitors are going to cost more than the larger screens when they release.

Really don't know why you'd care about the "bloat", it appears when you turn the TV on and disappears after a few seconds, that's it.

If you're standing near it, you're wasting money. There's absolutely no reason to get a monitor bigger than say 27-33inch if you're just a few cm away from it. Just get a TV instead if you want to watch and play from your couch.

Waiting for OLED monitors, IPS is so gross

So many monitors use IPS which makes them worthless for me

I use a VA smart tv currently and the bloat doesn't bother me just keep it disconnected from the internet plus you get a cool remote

I used to use a 32" back in the day. It was too much for me due to the height. I've got a 24" now and it is the perfect size/height for me.
