Its driving me nuts. I got long eyelash in curve of my eyeball and I cant get it out! What happens to these things anyhow, they just dissolve? Tried twisting wet toilet paper end in there carefully but would stick to it. So annoying.

Hold the eye closed for a few seconds, maybe a minute or two. The tears should wash it away into the netherworld.

(And who said that the PSAs at the end of Inspector Gadget were useless?)

I don't know about anyone else but the idea of touching my eye freaks me out. I do try and successfully get them out but the idea and practice is disturbing.

I hate is so much that I don't stop until I have successfully picked it out of my eye (I lift/pull my eyelids open until I find it and fish it out).

if it's under one of your eyelids you can get it out by pulling the eyelid forward and pulling it over your other eyelashes. works kind of like a comb.

Ever since wearing contacts, picking them out with my finger doesn't really bother me much. One alternative method is to just stand with your head down over a faucet while splashing water into your eye. That'll generally get it out pretty quickly.
