So yeah, my PC has just decided within the last couple days that it no longer has an active sound device, even though I have a Audigy 2 Platimum, even though my PC insists it's working properly, when I go to controle panel and check the sound manager, it tells me I have no fucking audio device. Odly enough though, this no audio device still plays basic sounds from MSN and such, I noticed the issue the other day when trying to watch a .wmv (that Star Wars fan video someone linked to) I got an error, and assumed it was just due to not having some sound codec, but now I noticed today when I went to play my Revenge of the SIth soundtrack that I get the same audio error "Bad DirectSound driver, please instal blah blah blah..."
Anyone seen this before? I really would rather avoide having to re-install this thing.
