It's depressing that I look for games like Tekken5 and GoW, not to see how well they've done but in the hope that they haven't fallen too quickly. Thankfully they both seem to be holding on quite well, only dropping a few places each.

But that top 5 is just pathetic. And to think in the last few weeks the UK charts had stopped looking THAT bad, but I should have known that wouldn't last.

Looking at the games, it's probably parents buying it for the kiddies, given that it's 3 licensed games, from 3 kiddie movies. The schools being out for the summer probably factors into it as well.

Hopefully once the schools go back and the decent games start flowing again, the nation can regain some dignity.

on that note though, i'll be purchasing Brian Lara. I fell in love with the PSX versin.

What happened to that Compton Cricket team made up from gang members? And the Lara Cricket game on top of the charts isn't surprising with The Ashes (England vs Australia - big rivalry) taking place.

I'm not sure about overall sales, but FM2005 did very well when it first came out. I'm hoping that Cm5 is where it is because it came out much more recently and on Xbox and PS2 as well as PC.

The new Brian Lara Cricket game is actually good too - Cricket 2005 is absolute trash. EA need to find a new developer for that series, and quickly.
