UK gaf on holiday question!

Holidaying in spain right now, anyone know of any decent free streams of bbc1 online so I can help my mum watch Strictly this Saturday? (I'm totally not interested in the sparkly ladies dancing in short skirts...)

I can send copious amounts of photos of my feet in the sun by the pool as recompense if that sweetens the deal?

Danke schon

What device would she be watching it on? Could you get her set up with a VPN for the UK?
Android Phone/tablet

Freeview/BBC player is notorious for not playing outside of the UK as the BBC licence doesn't allow foreign viewing, hence slightly dodgy streams

Could you get a VPN for it on a free trial and then cancel the trial once you are done? Should cover you for the period you are away. A lot of those VPNs advertise themselves around letting people access services like iPlayer.

OK, that sounds semi-plausible then. Is there a decent free(ish) vpn that'll let me stream 4x1hour shows over 2 weeks in semi decent quality?

Find an Expat bar and ask around, someone will sell you a dodgy USB stick to get British telly.

Good lad helping your mum out.

+1 VPN idea, half of the advertising spots I hear on podcasts pretty much centre around that (helping Americans watch Bake Off etc) so it's probably the easiest and best supported way of getting iPlayer working.

i love matt skiba. met him once he was cool.
I met Dan after a show, he's a gent.

Matt must have being going through a bad patch, as he tried acting like a roadie carrying gear into the bus with his hoodie hood up to avoid the fans. Thing is, he looks like matt fuckng skiba lol
Could also have been the terrible Manchester weather and he just wanted to get out of town
