UK Software Charts (w/e 25/12/2004)

* The Top 40 Entertainment Software Chart sees few changes since last week, with only 2 titles moving inside the Top 10 and no new titles troubling the Top 40. EA taking a fifth consecutive week at No1 with 'Need For Speed: Underground 2' (PS2/XB/GC/PC/GBA), sales up 13% over last week. Rockstar/Take 2 hold at No2 with PS2 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' (-2% over last week) and 9 unbroken weeks at No1 on the PS2 chart since launch. Disney/THQ climb one place to No3 with the multi-format 'The Incredibles' (+3% over last week), swapping places with Activision's 'Call Of Duty: Finest Hour' (PS2/XB/GC) which drops from No3 to No4, sales down 14% compared to last week. EA's 7-format 'FIFA 2005' remains at No5 (down 1% over last week) and Ubisoft's PS2/XB/GC/PC 'Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within' remains at No6 for a third week (sales down 2%). Four non-movers complete this week's Top 10: Konami's 'Pro Evolution Soccer' at No7, EA's 'Goldeneye: Rogue Agent' at No8, Sony's 'The Getaway: Black Monday' at No9 and Vivendi's 'The Simpsons: Hit & Run' at No10.

NFSU sales are UP from the previous week? And this is the fifth week? Wow word of mouth must be doing killer business.

What you got to take into account is the fact that the Xbox has been sold out weeks for before Xmas. Infact GAME think the new stocks won't reach them until the second week in Jan. This lack of hardware has hit software sales.

The UK must be a pretty boring gaming environment considering Sonic Heroes is always on the weekly charts! -_-;
Avoid the Fifa obsessed prats and there's still a few gamers going around who know wtf they're talking about.

But yes, as usual: I appologise for my country.

Sonycowboy, PS2 stocks were short but they were available before Xmas and were on shelves in some stores also they are on shelves now. Xbox you couldn't get get for love nor money 3 weeks before Xmas anywhere and even now no one has them. Many retailers have no idea when the next batch is going to arrive.
