Like i said in my previous post, they know this guy. No way a stabbing (a 'random' stabbing) is published so widespread through the media, unless there's something going on in the background.
Either that or this is a major incident that's been kept under wraps.
It does seem strange. Latest I've heard was that he is possibly a schizophrenic. According to the Daily Mail, he lives in a rented house with other people and neighbours describe him as “mentally disturbed”. Perhaps he is a patient that was mistakenly discharged from a secure psychiatric unit.
Edit: reading the Mail's piece further, locals say he was an oddball who spent his days riding the buses. He and the occupants he lived with had only been living in the house for the last six weeks, and they were frequently playing loud music. Maybe he is a failed asylum seeker who couldn't accept deportation.

The Fella who was shot in Edinburgh, before he knifed someone and the London Bridge attacker (the knifey one who was put down by a pole with a pole) were both on watch lists. In the case of the LB attack, he was released days/a week before the attack.
2 attacks out of the most recent 3 have been carried out by people who the Govt were watching. IMO, 3 makes 3.
It sounds like they (Mi5/6) are using low level bait to bring down a big guy. Kind of like how street-pushers of coke and smack are used to get to Mr.Big
I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of intelligence failure or a serious error of judgment from the authorities.

Maybe. I'm not saying they never make mistakes or errors of judgement, but it seems too convenient of an excuse. "our bad, we messed up again, whoopsie daisy" seems to be the standard "nothing to see here". If this is out of the news cycle in the next 24-48 hours (which it pretty much is now) then i suspect something bigger is coming. Xmas is right around the corner...
Another recent (?) smoke and mirrors was Gatwick airport with the drone. That was a weapons test, 100%. So i wouldn't put it past our intelligence service to distract the masses while they clean up some scumbags.

A man has been charged with murder and seven counts of attempted murder, after a series of stabbings across Birmingham city centre.
Zephaniah McLeod, aged 27, of Nately Grove, Selly Oak, is due in court on Wednesday, West Midlands Police said.
Jacob Billington, 23, was killed and seven others injured at four locations over a period of 90 minutes on Sunday.
Mr Billington, from Crosby, Merseyside, was stabbed in Irving Street while enjoying a night out with friends.
A post-mortem examination concluded he died of a stab wound to the neck.
