Just back from the sales, and one thing that struck me in the local Virgin Megastore was that they're advertising Nintendo DS and PSP as 'March 2005' and 'early 2005' respectively. Looks like we might get the amusing spectacle of the two handhelds launching head-to-head if Sony or Nintendo wants it to work out that way. Should be fun to watch...

[Edit: of course, Gizmondo has the unfair headstart, so PSP and DS will have a lot of catching up to do...]

They are making some noise on TV (MTV mainly) It's a damn shame they don't know jackshit about how to promote it, it's a very nice piece of hardware.

Edit: I am talking about gizmondo, of course.

The UK's always been lukewarm to Nintendo and strongly behind PlayStation.... I think it's by far the most likely region we'll see PSP outsell DS in the short term.
