UK publishers not doing so well:
But a turbulent time in the British games market clearly took its toll, with Eidos dropping out of the top 10 to number 17 and Codemasters falling three places to number 16. However, with the Lara publisher now part of the SCi Group and Codemasters re-energised with new funding and management, it’s hoped that Britsoft can once again deliver in 2006.

^ true, it was Pokemon..something.. I forgot the name.

Which reminds me, where is Nintendo on that Chart? DS hardware sold quite well...

In regards to Nintendo, the DS only started to sell well in the second half of the year and even then only really took off somewhere during Q4. That's probably why they aren't on the chart, not an entire year of good sales. Or maybe the software sales plain suck.

TOTAL SOFTWARE :D

Wow, how in the hell does Nintendo have less than 3.2% of the software market?

It was a long battle, but Sega finally beat Nintendo. :D

So, I'm guessing this is just consoles? I really can't see Nintendo managing under 3% of the UK market unless GBA/DS were discounted entirely, especially in years that saw Pokemon releases?

No it's software overall.

Pokemon wasn't all that big last year. Emerald and XD hardly set the charts alight at all. Neither did most DS/GBA releases.

No fucking way. Nintendo is hte biggest publisher worlkdwide. How cna they NOT be a player in the UK?

I'd guess that Nintendo has sold many of it's DS game in forms of bundles thus not having an effect of the software sales. On the other hand I know that they aren't really the most popular choice among the brits so who knows.
