Played a bit of the beta. If you liked fight night you should like this.

Update: $30 at launch of early access. Price will go up from there.

This forum is so sleep on this.

Looks and plays very solid based on online play from myself (I never really play online either).

I hope one day they can get Mike Tyson. Glad Fury is in though.

Anhhhh shit!!! Played the first few betas lives the gameplay. True next gen boxing aka the sweet science game (first since one of my all time favorites FNC). Cannot wait for this.

This looks cool, will definitely keep my eye on it.

Does it have character creation? I had a ton of fun in Fight Night round 2 making some ugly freak of nature and watching him strut into the ring, then watching him get his face bashed in in slow motion.

What's early access? a unfinished game that they will improve over time, and you get the full version once it's been fully developed?

Has this been dalayed? it's supposed to be out today, but it just says coming

Edit: just watching the pre launch, and it's available in half an hour

So, I've had my eye on this since playing the beta(s) and I have jumped into Early Access.

Performance feels a little off, like it's not as good as the beta and the pc graphics settings are very limited... though I suppose the nature of the game might excuse that.

Anyway, it's very much a work in progress, as befits the early access moniker.

I feel like punches don't feel very powerful. I just did 12 rounds with Tyson fury vs I dunno who he was, lowest rated white dude The Beast. Couldn't even knock him down landed 600 punches and 150+ power punches, almost 100 counters.

Like, in FNC, FN4, you can catch someone in the first round.

Yes, the power punches don't feel very impactful and it seems to take ages to whittle the health of opponent down.

Unfortunately, this is one of the difficult parts of making a boxing game.

In the real world a fight can be over in 2 rounds, won by a brutal k.o, or it can go the distance, and everything in between - and that's impossible to really replicate in a game because it can feel unfair if it's you being knocked out suddenly.

Just played a bit of this, and it's really good. The fighting is much better than it looks on trailers

Edit: The power punches definitely need working on,but you can easily stun someone if you catch them right

Oh I totally understand. Just feels like other boxing games made power punches feel more...powerful.

Oh and still no slow motion knockout. I loved that in previous boxing games.

thats one of the big things i hope they add. FN slow motion KOs with the skin and sweat moving was the best part. Also i want to see more blood and bruising. Doesn't seem like they've implemented the system fully.

my first ranked match...

Games pretty fun.

Also if you're fighting AI, put difficulty on atleast Pro. On intermediate they only counter and don't really fight back. On Pro they will actually try to hit you and not wait for you to swing first.

Also, hook spam just obliterates AI on Pro and Undisputed difficulty.

I changed damage to .5 and stamina to .5, and tried to see how much damage i could do without knocking them down.

Ref finally called the fight in the 6th round I think.

How does the game look comapared to those first trailers a year or two ago? Same? Better? Downgraded?

I remember that old video with the chubby white boxer and the boxer models looked awesome. The surroundings not so much.

If this is even half as good as fight night, i'm gonna buy it.

How is the face damage tech? Does it have a career mode? Does it have ragdoll for the ko?

The female fighter in the trailer looks like abby.

no career mode (yet), cuts arent great def need work, its pretty much online and local play (2 players 2 controllers) (and remote play). and yes there are rag dolls. Just got judo throwed on a ko and then one punch body flash ko where i half went through the ropes. imo worth for $30

I'm gonna buy it when there is a career mode then.

Just and fyi the current price is $30 and it will go up as it progresses via Early Access.

Also fuck SRL I can't beat him he's too quick
On some key sites is always gonna cost way less than steam even after full release.

It really is such a goddamn shame that Fight Night is dead. At least they went out on a high note in Fight Night Champion. That story mode is one of the most memorable video game stories to me.

Any tips and tricks to run this better on steamdeck? Checked protondb but was curious if there were any launch settings to help
