Universal or Disney Pitching Lord of the Rings Theme Park?

I love Lord of the Rings but this would kind of kill it a little for me. Like that commenter said, seeing a mom change a baby's diaper in the fiery depths of Mordor would kind of....ruin the image for me.

Working at this theme park will either be the best job in the world or the worst job in the world.

Supposedly it asks a lot of questions about LOTR, Avatar, and Terminator.

I imagine it'd be a new area, not a whole park.

Anyone been to the Harry Potter park? Looks pretty poor to be honest

You should read the reviews. The attention to detail even gives the almighty Tokyo Disney Sea a run for the money. I've heard nothing but glowing things (minus the outrageous crowds) about Potterland. Even diehard Disney fans are very positive on it.

Universal is the one pitching LOTR as another expansion to Islands of Adventure.

Yes, it's pretty neat. The theme is well done. I'm not real huge on HP though. I met some very nice people in line that were all gaga over the fan service. It was almost a pilgrimage to them :lol Very nice people.

The ride is pretty neat even though I enjoyed Dueling Dragons (DC) more.

Then someone pulled the fire alarm and the whole place had to be evacuated. I understand why theme parks put gift shops at the end of the ride, but holy clusterduck. It's the biggest fire hazard I have ever seen. If a fire ever hits that ride hundreds will die staring at cheap HP paraphernalia.
