I've been looking to upgrade my computer for well... since 2 years ago probaly. Anyway, 3.0 ghz processors are really cheap now and I wanted a motherboard that my existing radeon 9500 pro can actually be used with. I got super confused by all this new PCI express stuff even after reading the highly technical press release. Can an AGP graphics card still be used with intels newest lineup of motherboards? I ask becuase ever motherboard they offer that contains DDR2 support has only PCIe and no mention of AGP comes up , is there still an AGP slot on these motherboards or do I need to buy an older motherboard to still use that video card ?
I only wanted to buy processor( P4 3.0ghz E), memory(possibly a gig of ddr 533mhz) and a motherboard to put stuff on- my 80 gig harddrive and soon to be purchased dvd burner along with the 9500 pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
