WASATCH COUNTY, Utah Female students at a high school in Utah want to know why their yearbook photos were altered without their knowledge to show less skin, according to KSTU.
Educators said the students were aware of the dress code and a warning sign was posted that informed students their pictures may be edited.
Some students are upset because they claim it appears the decisions to alter photos were inconsistent.
I feel like they put names in a hat and pick and choose who, Sophomore Rachel Russel told KSTU. There were plenty of girls that were wearing thicker tank tops and half of them got edited and half of them didnt.
The Wasatch County Superintendent admits the school erred in not applying the same rules to all students.
We only apologize in the sense that we want to be more consistent with what were trying to do in that sense we can help kids better prepare for their future by knowing how to dress appropriately for things, Superintendent Terry E. Shoemaker told KSTU.
