Utsuro-Bune Incident - A Japanese UFO sighting in the 19th century

Well we can discount that is a UFO *chortles* so that leaves what it could be.

Unable to listen to the video I'll try to descipher what i can from Google search.

Found from the sea, it could have come from almost anywhere, however considering the woman inside was still alive i guess it would have come from relatively close by. The suggestion is a Russian? Sounds fair enough to me.

Beyond that, the ocean of time can distort much.. so can anecdote and second hand tales. The apparently entirely metallic boat could be something else, could be wood with beaten metal coating, some kind of cauldron or something?

Any of this kind of speculation requires sufficient motivation to keep pulling stuff out of one's butt and i think i just ran out. Hope my half assed theories can help uncover the centuries old truth!

I remember doing an exercise all the way back in kindergarten class to highlight this phenomenon. Starting at one end of the class a sentence was whispered into the ear of the kid next to you until it made its way around the room. By the end of going around a small class of kids, the sentence was completely different, of course.

And often over lengthy periods of time, the "truth" naturally becomes virtually indistinguishable from the events of the original happening/moment.

The bizarre thing is how the fisherman were like "You need to go back into your boat" and returned her vessel to sea.

very cool stuff. there are a lot of historic mysteries surrounding UFOs. a great number of encounters happened, like this one, in the water. there is a theory that some unidentified craft may originate from below us, from the oceans depths.

i have a book called Invisible Residents that lists many such accounts. we have diaries from fishermen reporting sights of strange lights and things rising out of the water going back hundreds of years.

no doubt we would have them older than that if not for the fragility of pre-modern writing medium. flying craft exist in many ancient texts, from the Christian Bible (Ezekiel's vision) to the Hindu Vedas (the Vimana flying machines). important to remember that fishing featured much greater in daily life hundreds of years ago, and thus the water is where many unexplained sightings took place.

I remember hearing about this on COAST TO COAST AM about a month ago. Pretty interesting case.

You can find a lot of interesting stories regarding USOs - Unidentified Submersible Objects - that even Navy today spot from time-to-time.

Don't get me wrong, guys, I am not ctriticizsing you or anything.
I get why people are interested in UFO's.
To many people UFO's are fascinating.

I used to be heavily into them too, but since learning that they are demonic phenomenons I am wary of them.

I wanted to warn you guys. If you listen to the stories of people who dealt with these phenomenons there are a lot of scary stories: mutilated cattle, people who end up with implants, are abducted, sexually abused during experiments, who sometimes are killed... It seems likely that the beings behind these phenomenons aren't friendly at all. In my opinion these stories are consistent with the fact that it's allegedly demons who are behind the UFO phenomenon.

A lot of people who say they were abducted by aliens had a sleep paralysis episode in which they thought they were abducted according to what I read.
What I mean is that they went in sleep paralysis and saw aliens etc.
And sleep paralysis was in the past thought to be caused by demons.

I remember reading a very interesting study that said the following: most people who say they were abducted by aliens and or who say they were contacted by aliens reported experiencing poltergeist phenomenons!

And poltergeists according to what i've read are demons, not spirits of dead people. Allegedly, demons often try to present themselves as ghosts to lure human beings into contacting them...

Poltergeist phenomenons according to what i've read happen in 2 cases: when a place is infested by demons. Or when someone is possessed by demons. Sometimes, when people are possessed by demons, this can cause poltergeist phenomenons in their surroundings. The demons possessing the person do these things. If the person is successfully exorcized, the disturbances stop. Same thing with a house infested by demons, if the house is successfully exorcized, the phenomenon stops.

Don't you guys find that intriguing? Why would people who were supposedly dealing with "aliens" report poltergeist phenomenons?

Unfortunately I don't have the link to that study.

Also, according to what I've read (sorry, I don't remember where I read it) many if not most of the early ufologists were occultists, practiced magic.
And Christianity tells us that the occult, practicing magic can lead to demonic possession.

OP, I don't want to derail your thread, I hope I don't seem rude. I just want to help by sharing what I know. I wished someone would have told me about these things in the past, back when I was obsessed about UFO's.

I used to be heavy into researching UFO's.
People, be careful about UFO's, UFOs sightings and extraterrestrial sightings are for real but they are actually demonic phenomenons. There are people who really encounter these phenomenons. There are priests, pastors etc who say that the true nature of these phenomenons is that they are demonic phenomenons, and I believe them.

If people in the Middle Ages saw little green men in strange flying objects they would have suspected they were dealing with demons. UFOS and aliens exist, but they are actually demons coming from hell to visit our world. Be careful, it is very dangerous to search about demons, if you search about them, they can possibly in turn gain the right to attack you, and maybe kill you. Demons are for real, they can kill people. When you read about cattle mutilated by so called aliens doesn't that seem demonic to you? Be careful guys.
