They're using the music from Batman Begins in this trailer. I hope they can come close to the greatness of that movie!

Holy shit that was awesome.

Can't wait. Hopefully they don't deviate too damned much from the book. Keep it about V fighting the government and about anarchy. Don't inject a pointless love story, and DON'T SHOW HIS FACE.

So the wachowski bros wrote this?

I hope it's better than what we were left with the matrix sequels.

At least it's directed by another guy.

Looks good by the looks of the trailer.

Well, Alan Moore has disowned the film...who knows.

Alan Moore disowned the film? OH jeez. Its another one of these

Spoiler question from a guy who doesn't know anything about Vendetta...

Is Vendetta Natalie Portman or is it Mr. Smith?

Mr Smith.

Film looks promising based on the trailer and Moore disowning the film (and leaving DC as a result) isn't entirely surprising but even David Lloyd had ill words for the film and did a 180 praising the script and attending Comic Con.

Now...Where's my Superman footage, WB?

I'm pretty sure it will have romantic elements and they will show Hugo's face. Never expect a movie to remain faithful to it's source.

Otherwise, it looks like it's going to be a fairly entertaining film.

Looks ok. The trailer didn't make me more interested in the film, although I was already interested in it to begin with.

I haven't read a single thing of Moore's, but this looks intriguing. I'm sure I'll see it unless it's completely panned.

Either way, I anticipate an interesting reaction to the film's politics.

Neither, actually. V is played throughout the film by Agent Smith, of course, but V is never revealed as a singular person (god I hope he isn't in the film either)...It's hinted at that he escaped from an Asylum, or was a lesbian movie star, but the idea is put forth at the end that V is just the generic face of rebellion.

As well, I'm really surprised they used the "Are you ready to cooperate" scene in the trailer. Really. Really. Surprised.

im not familiar at all with the book, but that looked pretty cool. It is sort of a downer that Alan Moore isn't supporting it, but maybe thats just the type of guy he is, regardless of whether or not its good. Did he support From Hell?

Great trailer, but i'm afraid I can never see Hugo Weaving in a movie and not picture him as Smith ever again, happened with LOTR and it'll happen to this :lol

Moore disowning this is actually a surprise to anyone? But yeah I even read a rant by Straczynzki calling it "the work of a genius", though i'm hardly his biggest fan but I'm hoping for the best...

That's what I'm so confused about.

It's a test he puts her through. She thinks she's captured, he puts her through the concentration camp experience, and when she doesn't break, she passes. Of course, that's a gross oversimplification.

warning: GENERIC "BOOK WAS BETTER" POST AHEAD :lol

Well, the trailer was a lot better than I expected from what I've been reading about the script. I'll certainly be checking it out, since there is incredible potential here. But I can only urge people who are interested to read the comic first - i've lost count of the number of times i've read it, and i find i incredibly difficult to believe the film could improve on it.

I have to salute the Wachowski Siblings for making the film in the present climate, which really takes a lot of balls. But everything i've read about the script makes me believe they're going to miss the subtleties of the book.

Check Rich Johnson's view of the script here:

Looks pretty sleek. You can definitely tell the director worked on The Matrix trilogy with the Wachowskis. :P

Looks good. I'm not getting a "OMGWTFTHIS SGOINGTOMELTMYFACEOFFBECAUSEITSSOAWESOME" vibe from it, but I should soon enough. I like how the Wachowskis aren't directing, just writing. They didn't do a great job of conveying a message, (this is especially evident in the finale of the 3rd Matrix.) they tend to throw a whole lot of ideas on screen in hopes of capturing all different kinds of realms (religions, politics, etc.) and the only truely worked perfectly in the 1st matrix film. Hopefuly another director will help them. :)

Looks good, but read the comic! It's probably my personal favorite of all time, and is just a really fantastic work. If you think the movie looks cool, you owe it to yourselves to check out graphic novel.

Moore disowning it doesn't matter much to me. I'll see the movie and make up my mind. The trailer certainly seems faithful to both the spirit and the particulars of the book.

As far as seeing Weaving's face-- maybe. I'm not convinced that we will.

While it seems apparent from the script review that they've botched it (PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read the book first, all of you), they haven't botched it quite that badly. The producers have been very clear that his face isn't shown at all.

I actually picked up the book two days ago...I just finished Daredevil Visionaries Vol 1, and I'm about to start V For Vendetta. I'm hoping that it's nothing like From Hell which I found to be kind of boring.

Oh jesus, that script review. Hahaha...

It's like they took the scenes, changed all the meanings, and made it into a script. It'll be fairly entertaining, but it won't be V. :\

Well, the Voice Of Fate is now The Voice Of London, a shock jock, with a touch of Fox News.

How? The Voice of Fate is pretty much the Deus Ex Machina of the entire fascist society, not a real personality. Ugh.
