Verizon is like the douchebag who keeps landing hot chicks

I really wish T-Mobile had better coverage. Verizon is the only one that's reliable in basically my state let alone the area where I live. And I pay dearly for that coverage...

I need to get an American iPhone. What is the best carrier?

Sprint, AT&T, T-mobile or Verizon?

Survey your neighbors and coworkers about their mobile service.

Pick the one that sounds the least shit.

It varies greatly from region to region, particularly within large cities.

Verizon has great reception here in San Jose so that's why I'm still sticking with them. The 4g is fast as fuck so it's pretty dope. I pay 230 for 5 phones which is a bit over 45 for each. I don't think it's bad. I'm just happy that they started getting the cool phones now.

I didn't realize this had capacitive buttons. That's a bummer. I'm trying to decide between this, the Moto X, and the Z3v.

That is an ugly ass phone.

What does that have to do with anything? I will never understand people who care what their phone looks like.

Not to shit on versions network but tmobile is great if you're in any metro area with any civilization, not just in the city limits. This includes the suburbs, with the exception of the countryside. This pretty much covers 95% of Americans.

How often does an average American spend out in the country anyway? I reckon it is only 5 to 10 percent of the time. Isn't worth paying almost double for that?

I'm from an area where you won't get a T-mobile unless you make a 2 hour drive in either direction. Not everyone lives in a metro area. If you're from a small town you're basically screwed.

I think I want this thing....debating Note 4 or Droid Turbo....

Note 4 looks pretty damn great but I'm moving from a Nokia 920 with 4.5" screen and thinking the note is going to be HUGE with it's 5.7" screen.

The 5.2" screen of the turbo seems like a nice increase without going nutty.

this is not related to verizon being a douchebag but it does relate to Verizon being one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with

I bought a LG G2 from them and started a prepaid plan. After a day with the phone I decided I didn't like it and got a Moto G cause it was cheap. I went to the store and it took them 3 hours. YES 3 HOURS fo them to activate it because the G2 was on 4G prepaid and the Moto G is 3G prepaid, which is an entirely different department.

9 days ago i ran out of data so i went to my account and bought 3gb of data for $20. Got a text saying it would take 15 minutes. Didn't work for 3 hours, went to bed, next morning still didn't work so i called them. They said they had a recent network update which fucked everything.

This morning I ran out of data again so I bought 500mb, and got a text. And then I had to call them (after waiting 15 minutes on hold) and i was again told the recent network update fucked everything up. and if I wanted to purchase more data in the near future, I have to call them directly

in other words, I'm switching to Cricket. Fuck you Verizon and your lazy, inept technicians.

Verizon is a true douchebag. Their customer service caused me to switch to T-Mobile.

I did the new Edge program with them. They said I could keep my current phone and trade that in for credit if I wanted to. Great! When I got my new phone, they sent me a package to send my old one back in. Wait a minute, I thought I could keep my old phone? Nope. Apparently because my contract wasn't up yet (few months shy in fact) it was an early Edge upgrade and I had to send in my phone and get nothing, even though I had almost completed the contract on it. So I decided I'm not keeping the new phone and will go back to how my old phone / contract was....fine, I could do that.

I asked them if I had to mail the new phone back or if I could take it to a local Verizon store to give it back there. The CS rep said that wouldn't be a problem, so I did that. Spent an entire Sunday afternoon during which I felt like a second class customer because I was not there to buy a new phone or get new service only to find out that I was told wrong. The online system and in store systems are different and I had to send it back in the mail. So I did that and got my account set back to what it was. Think this was the end?

I switched over to T-Mobile promptly after this occurred and took advantage of their deal where they pay your ETF. However, Verizon wanted to be a douchebag once again. I transfered my # a few days into my billing cycle. You would think the cancellation would happen and my bill would be pro-rated to the day I no longer had service. NOPE. Verizon charges you for that entire billing cycle. Your account is suspended until the end of the cycle, when it is canceled....apparently all companies do this with customers who transfer while on contract according to the Verizon rep I talked to. So I paid for an entire month of phone service that I didn't have.

TL-DR

I got tired of being lied to by Customer Service. Fuck Verizon. I'm enjoying T-Mobile and their Wi-Fi calling is an awesome feature btw.

WAT? That is some serious BS! How can they charge you for something you aren't using. I'd escalate that to someone in their support channel.

I did, talked to a supervisor who gave me the same run around. Apparently if you transfer phone service while on contract (and it might have to do with transferring the # too) they suspend your account and you pay for the entire month.

In the end, I gave up and paid it and I'm truly done with that company. Better network or not.

Pretty lame. I would have complained to the BBB or the local public utilities commission.

I guess they thought they were losing you as a customer so who cares.

I just left Verizon after 11 years for T-Mobile, and I get better service in a few places where I got no service from Verizon. Verizon is too expensive. Atlanta, GA
