Here's a PSP conversion of one of the more innovative scene demos made lately. It's very stylish looking, and a very nice conversion (60FPS, no degradation in visuals compared to the PC version). Also, it's interactive - move the analog nub to change the direction of branching, press the [] and X keys to change the visual mode from "light" to "dark". Trust me, the whole thing looks very slick and is a must see if you are into eyecandy type of demos.

Get it from here:

PC version and the screensaver based on this demo is here:

As I was hoping, now that 1.5 PSPs are widely 'available' in Europe the demo scene should be paying some attention to it. This is hopefuly just a start.

I can't get this working for some reason. Is there something I missing?
I copied all the files to my GAME dir, as instructed, but after running the demo, it boots me out and says "The game could not be started (80020130)".

It's like the error you get if the dummy PBP directory doesn't match the main one, I think, but I didn't change the folder name at all. If I have the devhook folder already there, with the 1 at the end, do I need to change this to a 2, by any chance?

Edit: never mind... copied it again and it works now. Sweet.

If it doesn't work, it's because the 8.1 corrupt folder hiding naming scheme trick has screwed up somehow (it happens). So, just rename the folders to something like "PSPFLOWER%" and "PSPFLOWER"

the only thing i figured out is it changes over when you press square and back when you press circle... dunno about it reacting to the music, but it doesnt seem like it... it looks really pretty though...

Oh it definitely reacts to the music, you can see as the loop fades out that it slows down and stops building so many stems. You can control the direction with the d-pad and analog pad too. d-pad controls it quite softly, analog less softly but still gradual.
