So i was just kicking back watching WB cartoons with my son. After Batman ended a clip for Viewtiful Joe was announced.

I had no clue until now thet Capcom had made viewtiful joe into a sat morning cartoon 10:30 central.

It was a very short clip but seemed to be based off the story behind the 1st game to some degree as far as i could tell and it looked good too.

I ran upstairs to fill my fellow gaffers in on this as soon as i could.

Hopefully this is not old but i have not seen it posted prior.

one of the charms of the VJ series was that it DIDN'T have a plot or characters worth giving anything more than 3cc of a fuck about, and much like a good arcade game chose to spend its energies on being mechanically solid.

I saw the first few episodes that were subbed before it was licensed and I found it enjoyable for the most part. Here's hoping they don't screw up the voices; hiring the actual VA's would be best but somewhat unlikely.

They just aired the second ep. I also saw them when they originally aired and snatched the subs. The voices aren't the same as the game but they're way better than the japanese ones. They did add a new character, that hispanic-looking hench wench who's most likely a Cromartie since she covers up one eye.

Yeah, I saw the first couple of episodes of the anime a good while back. It's truly terrible.

The first episode is pretty much the set up of the first game, dragged out to a full half hour show, and poorly done. I think somebody forgot to tell them that Viewtiful Joe wasn't supposed to be taken seriously.
