Dear Viewtiful Joe Team Members:

I’m sorry to announce that the Viewtiful Joe Team and team site will be officially closing down as of February 1, 2005. All good things must come to an end, right? We’ve appreciated your hard work and creativity with the challenges and are happy to have had all of you awesome people on the team. You’ve made us very proud!!!

Because the team is ending, you must, must, must redeem your points by this Friday! If you don’t use them, you’ll lose them.

Now, this is very important . . . if you have any interest in joining a larger, Capcom team, please send us an e-mail and tell us why. We will forward your messages on to the head honchos at Capcom. The more e-mails we gather, the more likely they are to go forward with a general team to promote their games. This, of course, would mean more challenges, more opportunities to earn points, win free stuff, etc. So if you’re interested write us at viewtifuljoe@fanpimp.com.

Also, please respond to the new challenge to let us know what you’ve liked and what you didn’t like about the team. Your feedback is very valuable to us and could be useful in the future. All other challenges will be phased out by Wednesday.

Again, we’ve loved working with you and hopefully this is not the end, but a new beginning.

This makes me sad. It was a cool thing to do to hype out the original VJ GCN game. Who knows, it must've been effective. Look at how it sold.

The part that interests me is that they're thinking of doing another Team, which would probably compose of Capcom games in general. Would be cool to get some more Capcom merchandise. I got the HMD shirt last year and just ordered a VJ knit hat with my remaining points.
