Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | July 2013 | Slow Month, Fast Games

Depends if you like SH1-4. It's made by the people that bastardized the series.
I'd try it out for $7.50, but I'm not letting them see any of my money :/ used for me

It's been years since I played a SH game, but I heard this one is set up more like a top down dungeon crawler type?

Yeah, nothing like SH. Just cashing in on the name (and of course, unfittingly using Pyramid Head everywhere they get the chance). Which is what I dislike! With no expectations you might like it.

Nice

I played the alligator last night. 90 years and something like 140,000 points.

So do I do a quick game and unlock the dino's? Nope.... Panda and then a small deer for kicks. The weaker monsters and ones that cant just kill over and over seem to be more fun. After a while it does kinda get a little boring but then suddenly it racks up the difficulty again. Simple but fun for a blast now and then I feel.

yeah it seems the perfect game to play every once in a while. Sometimes the objectives for the grazers can be a bit of a pain, for example "Eat 2 Mushrooms" or whatever and you run all over the map looking for mushrooms, but in general the game keeps you running nonstop. I like that there is a different music track for every 10 years too, and the tone of the music is so perfect for such a bizarre game.

Had £4 on my account.

Bought Kat for Everybodies golf. Realised it has a huge update.

Managed to get 20 mins to try it on my lunch break. Forgot how god damn awesome this game was and Kat is pretty good character in it. Might have to start going for crowns as i never bothered the first time. Needed to leave the game for a bit after finally finishing the last tournament challenge levels last year at somepoint. Surprised my vita never ended up in a wall after those.

But yeah its a great game. Wish I had it digitally though. However I have so few physical games its not that hard to leave it in the drive for long periods.

So I just bought Silent Hill for the $7.50, will I like it at all?

WayForward developed Silent Hill themed dungeon crawl. The story is only lightly woven into the Silent Hill universe, and the main character's story is told through notes and broadcasts you find throughout the levels.

Gameplay wise, it's a bit repetitive but has enough to draw me in and keep playing. Dungeons are all hallways and square rooms and there is not much to differentiate between character classes (unique skill trees would be nice). I like dungeon crawlers in general, and this one is pretty decent/good.

It's weird and unnasasary project even by Capcom crazy standard and useless games they publish that no one want (LP3,DmC,RM)
A cheap f2p ios game for easy money makes more sense than spending millions on AAA games no one wants like dmc or lp3.
You and others now complain about it, but i'm sure that if it will be localized you'll enjoy it lol.

It depends, as i always say it's neither a pure survival nor a pure dungeon crawler but something in the middle, so only you will know the answer to your question ;)
I really liked it though.

Just in case someone hasn't heard who's interested: Knights in the Nightmare, Class of Heroes, Crimson Gem Saga and Hexyz Force are $3.50 each on the US PSN Store.

Purchased Crimson last year and I think the visuals are gorgeous. That's about all I liked. The battles are a chore, you've gotta grind a lot, story is pretty meh.

Haven't played Knights yet since I bought it last year.

But I'm thinking of getting Hexyz.

wow looks fun and 60 fps!

This actually looks pretty cool, I think it it looks more interesting then that thing they are putting on PS3 personally. its especially nice that you dont need anything for the AR to work. I dont know much about this game, but this vid has me pretty interested, thanks for posting. :)

Any idea how many creatures there are to capture(?), and how do get them?

People, do you think Faster than Light will come to Vita? is now on offer in Steam, I am tempted to buy it, but I will prefer a portable version.
You might as well buy it now. Even if it does come to the Vita, you'll be waiting a long time for a sale as cheap as it's going for on Steam now.

Dunno. but here is a really completely horrible -that may turn awesome- idea for you, Get it on Steam for cheap, buy Nvidia Shield, buy a GTX6xx or 7xx card or a Titan, pray that it's supported on that huge thing, and here ya go..a portable FTL.

It seems like a game that should end up on the platform at some point... but I haven't even heard a rumor about it. Snag that shit on Steam.

Its replay value is nearly infinite so if it does come out in like a year on the vita I can almost guarantee that you'll double dip.

Thanks, but I think is too much of an invest for a $2,49 game, in that case I will take my laptop with me for playing in the train. I did that before with Civilization IV when I was hooked to that game ^_^

So this week, Vita would be getting:

Doodle God (Vita)
Geronimo Stilton Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy (PSP)
Kung Fu Rabbit (Vita)
Mystic Chronicles (PSP)

I'm rather interested in the Geronimo Stilton game...

*go on youtube searching for Geronimo PSP*

published by SCE :| so Sony will give us shovelware but didn't wanted to renew Brave Story license (it's a SCEJ problem) so they lost it and don't want to take Jewel Summoner back from Atlus and publish it on PSN. smh.

They should just make a Invizimals pokemon spin-off. The poor quality camera just doesn't interest me.

That would kind of negate Invizimals' selling point, the AR. The demo showcased did show some huge improvements from the PSP games. Now the battles aren't really turned based, but more Action-RPG like. It's unfortunate that The Alliance will likely still have the FMV cutscene nonsense instead of a real exploration mode.

Ok, but can they have that tired AR gimmick as a selling point forever? I think it's time to move on and have a Pokemon/Digimon rival, and if the Vita version was the true sequel for the true Invizimals fans (or what left of them at this point) then why the PS3 game is an action adventures instead of an RPG like what many people wanted?

Yusss, that's pretty awful for PS4 :) - vita should get some attention. Hopefully quite a few recordings of new stuff. Can't wait to see DC on Vita too.

I can't wait for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. I'm playing Lego Batman 2 right now, and my handheld could always use more superhero-ey goodness.
