I used to use it to keep in touch with friends in Russia. It pretty much was an exact copy of facebook. Well, you could post things illegal in the states (movies, songs, etc). So that was different.

I used it 2 years ago though.

you joke, but i remember a (Gawker?) article a few months back talking about this site being a vehicle for financially stable but socially awkward Americans looking for a wife to bring across the Atlantic. Seems popular enough. the UI/UX is clean and reminds me a ton of pre-Timeline facebook.

I had someone who had studied in Russia pull this site up for music at a party since supposedly it has a lot of copyrighted stuff. I don´t know why he didn´t use facebook though.

Wow, first post nailed it, the women on there are pretty attractive there. My friend went to Russia and met up with a pretty hot chick, he says Russia is full of them, I believe him to an extent. I was thinking about taking a vacation or visit to St Petersburg.
