Wanna play FF6 again, what version

In mood to play Final Fantasy 6 again. What best version? Still original snes game or psx compilation or snes scene translation? I thought heard so not so pleasant things about redone snes translation.

I'd say original SNES. The audio and load times are terrible in the PSX version. I've also never heard the music and sound effects in an emulated FF6 sound 100% identical to the original. There may be a group of settings that accomplishes this, but I've never found one.

Just go for whichever one is easiest for you to play. I don`t know about the fan translation but the SNES and PSX ones are basically the same.

SNES one if you can. The PS version suffers from bad load times and some slight sound issues. I'm not at all familiar with the translated rom version though.

With the PSX don' you get in-game movies, also is the bug where you can change Edgar to look like the FFIV hero still there?

If not, play the SNES. I have both but only since I must own every FF game, ever.

Edgar bug? Not familiar with that one.

I'd say the original SNES version. The script is entertaining, even if the translation job isn't word-for-word perfect, and the requisite US version clean-up wasn't dramatic (mainly just a few curses, references to a lot of death, and one enemy that I know of).

As far as I've heard, stay clear of the PSX version, though.

I say go for the fan translation. Should be mor entertaining since its closer to the original script.

I like this version too. Reduced bugs, proper names for spells/characters/past references/etc., and the script has a little more sublety than Woolsey's original (although it's a little dry at times)
