Atomic clock sync, GOOOO

I have an antique pocket watch from the late 1800's that my girlfriend got me for Christmas. I wind it, and have no way to set it, so if I forget one day I have wait until whenever it stopped to wind it again :p It's great, though. It has a really old picture of some guy in a top hat in it.

I've got a Citizen Eco-Drive, but they don't make the exact model any more. It looks very, very similar to this one though, just with slightly different hands and different designs at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 positions. Also, the metal design around the main face is different, and consists of straight lines rather than the curve.

I've had it for 5-6 years now and it's never died on me. Solar power never fails.

I use a silver Seiko Kinetic. I'll try to find a pic.

No batts for me, suckas!

I also have a Nintendo DS, an iPod photo 60gb, and a Samsung T-Mobile phone as backups. Heh.

Edit - Seiko USA no longer lists my particular Kinetic watch. That said, it is 9-10 years old, so I guess that makes sense. It was one of the first Kinetics available, IIRC.

Here's mine... damn heavy.. and I have the bggest band available for it. If my wrists get any larger, I'm screwed.

Dead sexy, isn't it?

I was looking for a digital watch with a good, organized display and large digits and I found this. Very cheap too, so if I find a better one I can get it.

Yeah, I'm gonna lump myself in with the cellphone people. Watches are so 20th century. We're living in the future here people, it's time to start acting like it!

Basically the black version of Matlocks. It's a nice watch. My issues are it never autosyncs. It is set to autosync at night but it is never successful, only works when I manually sync it. The Hand also ALWAYS comes unsynced. Sometimes the hand will be slow like 3 minutes after a week, other times it is perfectly synced for a month. The digital time is always 100% on though.

It's already got scratches on the face though (I've had it 4 months, I stupidly scratched it on a shopping cart the 2nd day I had it). That is what you get for relatively cheap watches though. Gotta spend $300+ to get nice crystal/glass.

19th century, in my case. HAH!

Who needs a watch when every device a carry has a clock function? I mostly get the time from my phone.

Watches look nice, it is more for fashion than anything else.

Also, it is just a habit for me to look to my watch before I look to my cell for the time.

Plus chicks dig them!
