Hey guys. I've been playing a load of my switch OLED again between Mario party jamboree sessions and 100%ing Mario wonder (classic game)

And I've noticed my tears of the kingdom oled drains it's battery even in standby and no game loaded by like 50 percent overnight. It doesn't seem right and I'm concerned the battery is failing. I've never had a battery fail this quickly.

Anyone with a similar issue or any idea if its widespread or is my switch buggered?

I heard about that, airplane mode should fix this.

There was an issue introduced a couple of months ago in a firmware version which affected some Switch models including the OLED one. I thought Nintendo fixed it by now though, but maybe not?

Try the workaround on this reddit post and see if it works for you.

The same thing happens with my lite, I'll leave it on sleep overnight and come back to it in the morning with 50% of the battery gone. I keep it on charge all the time now.

Yeah I know. Switch 2 is coming soon though so it'll tide me over until then

Dude. Thanks for this. Google says that a lot of people have this issue and airplane mode fixes it.

I do have my tin foil hat on now with switch 2 around the corner lol. Looks like the issue started around 2 months ago and still hasn't been fixed.
