Awesome, awesome punk album. Flows between thrash and more classic styled punk seamlessly, and Agent M is a damn fine singer who can pull it off.

Tracks of note: Headlights on a Grenade, Roundabout, Swimming Through Molasses.

B0007NFMDK.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

Great brit-rock, feels somewhere between Radiohead and Franz Ferdinand. Some weak points here and there (lags somewhere around the middle) but nothing too major.

Tracks of note: Like Eating Glass, Helicopter, Price of Gas.

B00006AAJF.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

Something to relax to, but most of it is rather mediocre. IF you can, try and find the Ani Difranco/Aimee Mann collaboration in "When Doves Cry."

Track of note: High on Sunday 51

B000002L68.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

THE CLASSIC. Not a weak track in the entire production, which is all the more impressive due to both its soundtrack status and Prince's eccentric ways. "Purple Rain" could still pass as a prom-night staple, and "When Doves Cry" just never goes out of style.

Tracks of note: Darling Nikki, Purple Rain, When Doves Cry

aaaaand filling out this diverse collection--

Great album that I can funk to at any time. Although "Scarecrow" is overly long and a few tracks seem to borrow from each other "Go It Alone" and "E-Pro" seem to be the biggest offenders--it's still a deeply solid effort. Not on par with "Odelay," but still great.

Tracks of note: Black Tambourine, Hell Yes, Missing

Freestlyers are also indeed very aweosme. They also put on a very good live show to.

Other than that I've been listening to the With Teeth leak a bit.

The one thing I love about these threads is how cool some of the album covers look.

Anyways, I'm still listening to

New Order - Temptation
Very nice. One of the best songs of all time.

Right now it's this:

Johnny Boy- You Are The Generation That Bought More Shoes and You Get What You Deserve

Incredible debut single that serves up a big Phil Spector wall of sound, fantastic vocal melodies and the grandest sounding britpop since Pulp's "Common People." I dare anyone to listen to it and not become immediately addicted.

I saw them live a number of years ago when they had a full band support, 3 MCs, and 2 break dancers. it was awesome.

Indeed, and it is the best song to play in your Discman/iPod on the long, drunken and lonely walk home after a night out.

By the way, I know there are more than a few New Order fans on this board - what do you all think of the new album? Personally I'm a little mixed on it, but one thing is for sure - the title is one of the best songs the band has ever released, and cuts like "Who's Joe?" "Krafty" "Guilt is a Useless Emotion" and "Turn" ain't half bad either.

i think it's a great pop record. mind you new order has always been smart accessible pop. this album loses the original sound a bit, driven more by guitar pop (hey now, turn) and strait up club tunes (guilt is..., i told you so). personally i love the album, though i wish they emphasized their original sound more as "hey now", "turn" could by by ANY band great songs as they are, you couldnt tell it was new order. aside from a few tracks (krafty, working overtime) i love the album, the rest of the songs are all fantastic.

as for what im listening to now,
B0007X9UUG.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

if you are into the dance/rock here is your next band. they are influenced a bit more by world music, so there are afro beat influences, weird guitar tunes/solos, weird beats. they are quite good actually.

It's all reggaeton all the time now.
Si habla con las manos, porque comprar su CD? Que ponga su porqueria en un DVD.

PS: Reggaeton is the crappiest fad evar. Especially things that claim to be reggaeton and are not or just shouting raggaeton in a song for no reason. DIE ALREADY!

If I had to rank their four albums:

Version 2.0 >> Garbage >>>>> Bleed Like Me > Beautiful Garbage (which I only listened to once in its entirety).
