As in like wukong or expedition 33. Basically a game that isn't expected to do as well as it will, and the western AAA devs will be crying on twitter again when they see the numbers that game is doing?

Personally i think Wuchong is gonna be GOTY material. Gonna be hard to beat expedition 33, not saying it will do that, but i think it will be in the conversation.

I could be wrong. And 5 years ago this would be a game where i watch the trailer and think it looks good but wouldn't expect more than like a 85 on metacritic. But i think a lot of us thought that of expedition 33. I was interested in that game ever since i saw it, but i didn't expect it to be THIS good. Times are changing, i'm hopeful for some games now, especially when they look good AND aren't associated with one of the big publishers. Wuchong could have the exact same trailer and feature an EA logo at the end and i would immediately expect it to be worse. Because i got used to it from those guys.

I dunno, almost every time I see a thread on it there's a not small amount of people acting surprised to only just learn that it's not an mmo. And that's here where people are more informed than the general public. It's like semi informed gamers see the name, make an immediate assumption that it's just black desert, then move on.
