What Happened To BC The Game?

Shame. I played it once and it was full of really cool shit. If you enjoyed running around like a spaz in Mario 64, you'd have loved this.

The game seemed way too far into development and way too full of potential and way too awesome to can indefinitely. I can't imagine it won't be brought back. Then again, it probably wouldn't be much of the same team (which is what really counts) and I know that the lead designer left the team I think not too long before the game was canned, so I'm not too thrilled with the situation. It looked and sounded really fucking cool, and as amazing as it looked, I heard they already had it running at a great framerate too, so it's doubtful that it would have gone through the same gradually-decreasing-graphics-quality bullshit that Fable went through.

I laugh at Pedigree Chum, but he's entitled to his (sad excuse for an) opinion :D (joking on you)

Looks incredible, saw it in motion a couple of times, it indeed sported these level of graphcis in-game at 'decent' framerate, obviously without optimalisation yet at that time. It must come back, it looked so awesome!

I always thought the game looked fine, but it wasn't the graphics that got me interested in this game, it was the aspect of controlling a tribe and gettign them to sruvive in the environment proposed by the game.

This game looked really crappy.
Did you play it? Did you see it? People who saw the trailer said it looked stunning, and the gameplay sounded amazing as well. If you're basing that on crappy early animation, then aren't you special.

I liked how that game implied that everyone in the prehistoric age used a Bowflex.
I'm sure people back then had to be pretty fucking fit to survive. And you must have missed the many screenshots of the fat dude.

I sould have been more specific, i didn't like the art style the game had going for it (I'm not a western art hater, just a BC art hater :P)...and the overuse of bump mapping didn't help either. The concept however did seem interesting at least.

Looking at the shots now that we've seen pretty much all that the Xbox can do, they did seem to be going beyond technical limits. If I remember, brilliant AI was integral to making the concept work so it could easily make for a perfect next gen title.

You mean the token fat guy? Fit, & using steroids & competing in the Arnold Classic are 2 very different things. (even the women) Have you ever seen a caveman recreated through the use of forensic modellers? They can even determine how much muscle mass your frame would've likely carried. Regardless, this did look great & was sporting a very unique & innovative concept. What would've been your ultimate goal though? The game probably became too overly ambitious, & was cut as Fable took priority & possessed more mainstream appeal. Although I too heard it was being moved to the 360, no more than an unfounded rumor?

Suspended indefinetely. But a little birdy tells me it's being brought over to Xbox 360.

I believe the development team was reassigned to other things, so it might be a while before it appears.
