What happened to Clockwork Tortoise ?

They did what I consider one of the (if not the) finest Genesis game ever, Adventures Of Batman And Robin.

Gamefaqs lists them as Clockwork Games and say that they did

Dreamcast Vanishing Point
Genesis Adventures of Batman & Robin
PC 3D Lemmings
PlayStation 3D Lemmings
Rush Hour
Speedster
Vanishing Point
Sega CD Adventures of Batman & Robin

but I don't believe this bullshit. Is there somebody in the know about this team ?

Batman & Robin for Genesis is, hands-down, the most technically stunning game on the system (that I've seen, anyway), but I wouldn't say it's great... I mean, it's difficult to the point of near-unplayability without cheat codes.

I've finished this game multiple times and can honestly say its difficulty is highly overrated.

Difficult?! Its too easy... I mean I completed it without even continuing!

I can't play Batman & Robin for Genesis for more than a minute without getting completely swarmed by enemies, which is definitely not the case with Gunstar Heroes or Contra Hard Corps - not sure what game you guys played. Also, the bosses have ridiculously large health meters, and some of the levels go on way too long. The game could have been a classic if Clockwork had had the same sense of pacing or balance that Konami or Treasure had.

This was all I could find googling...

Neversoft was founded in 1994 by three employees of Malibu Interactive, (previously Acme Interactive) a division of Malibu Comics based in Westlake Village, California.. At that time the primary platforms were the 16-bit consoles, the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Games for these systems could be developed by very small teams, anywhere from two to ten developers. As a result it was a easier than at present to set up a game development company, and several groups of people had already left Malibu to strike out on their own. Left Field Productions and Paradox Development being two extant companies that were founded in such a way, with others such as Clockwork Tortoise no longer in existence.

...evidently they folded after doing Batman & Robin for Sega.

clockwork games is definately a different company to the people who did batman and robin.

Clockwork games only did:

Vanishing Point
3D Lemmings
Rush Hour
Speedster

Uh Batman & Robin was definitely easy; the game gave u credits for continues but I set the credits to 0 to give the game more challenge. Even then it was not that hard. As for the swarming enemies part, maybe u should use more close-ranged attacks (punches/kicks etc) as most enemies die with 1 blow.

But I agree with u on some of the levels go on way long... no actually it was only that 2nd Stage where u ride the Batgliders... that was too long...

Batman & Robin is my 2nd favourite Genesis game (behind Thunder Force IV); it has great graphics effects not seen b4 on the Genesis, thumping techno music and whatnot. It could be even better if it was more difficult :D
