What happened to e-Reader?

What happened to the e-Reader? The last Japanese game which supported it was Pikmin 2, I think, the US version didn't support it. What did happen?

Sales were bad so NoA killed it.

I really wish those f-ckers would have at least finished with the SMB3 expansion cards.

We only got 2 sets of an expected 4. DAMN!

Nintendo got smart and realize that instead of selling old NES games on card packs for $5, they could make them on GBA carts and sell them for $20 instead. :P

we have a winner

Well, Nintendo of Japan recently released Pokemon Emerald e-cards.

Nintendo really should have packaged the e-Reader with the Pokemon games (like Pokemon Colosseum or Fire Red/Leaf Green). Would have taken off IMO.

The problem was there was that Pokemon E-cards werent ready and had they of been ready. The damn thing would have sold like hot cakes. How long was it before the Pokemon E-cards came out here in the states? yeah had they of come out right when they brought it out this thing would have still been around today with even moe card for more card games.

PS i want my 2 other sets of SMB3 cards NOA i want them damnit.
