What if...

Sammy decided to retire their name and use Sega due to it's larger brand recognition? Hell, Sega's a household name where as majority of the population outside of Japan don't know (or give a) shit about who or what Sammy is. With Sega's IPs and Sammy's money, they could push Sega further than Sega could have ever done on their own.

It could happen.

I doubt it'd happen since the majority of Sammy income comes from Japan. Sega's bigger outside of Japan, but even then they aren't that trusted. If anything happens it'd be Sega getting their name dropped and just simply becoming Sammy.

What if...

Sega was their video game label while Sammy was used for their Pachinko and non-VG related businesses?

It'd be interesting to see a new Guilty Gear release under the Sega label.

I think it's likely that in the US, titles that would have been released under Sammy Studios may eventually get released under the Sega name.

But in Japan, Sammy is very well known for pachinko-based console games, so those games would still be branded with the Sammy label.
