When I get creative and hunker down to start sprite animating, and I focus (pretty much) only on animating it while listening to my favorite tunes...hours can fly by and all my worries and fears melt away...just me, my mouse, keyboard, headset, and the screen...that's when the magic happens :] the ideas become larger than the sum of their individual parts...the sprites, sounds, music, and fight actions and scenery all combine with the camera movement to form sprite animations in the way I know how to make them best :]

What engine and platforms do you develop for? RPG? Or action games? I want to try and make a basic turn based RPG or platformer before I die!

So back in them days, I used to make interactive ish Flash sprite animations with things like replay buttons, scene selects, etc. but now that Flash is "dead" (there are preservation efforts like Ruffle and FlashPoint archive out there :3) my production methods shifted over to converting the SWF into video for uploading to Youtube and to make it watchable on mobile devices, smart TVs the main tools I use are Adobe Animate CC 2023 for animation, Photopea for image editing, Audacity for sound edits, Fireworks for working with huge spritesheets, and more :]

I get this when exercising, writing music 10 people in the world might ever hear, sometimes at work, and, when it's really good, a video game.

It's nice to shut up that chatterbox in your head that only comes up with problems instead being engaged in the moment.

Grape - Nuts : You won't find a healthier cereal in your grocing establishment. You also won't eat more than one bowl each morning because it doesn't taste that good (slightly better than oatmeal imo). Add cinnamon, and let it soak in milk for 60 seconds because you will crack a tooth.

Atomic Habits : The one "recommend to everyone" book I have in my library. Should be mandatory reading in public high schools throughout the land, imo. I've read/listened to it 3x, and it won't be the last.
