The younger the songs, the more it's a matter of personal taste, obviously...

One time I was tackled and went unconscious for a bit and somewhere in my swirling brain fog was heard the faint strains of Blondie's "The Tide Is High" to which I suddenly leapt to my feet at the "I'mmm not the kinda girl who gives up juuust like thaaat" line. I then punched the tackling dude in the stomach and shoved him to the dirt when he reeled down all while standing super sassy with one hand on my hip and the other waving a finger above his head singing "Oh NoOoO!".

so. I'm going to hafta go with "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" - Eric Idle.

A bit cliché, and already mentioned in this thread, but I have to go with:
David Bowie - Life on Mars?

EDIT: WTF? This thread is over two years old!

Shouldn't your favourite song also be your vote for best song of all time? I mean, there's no definitive best song of all time. So logically, your vote should be your favourite.

This thread's fucked.

best song of the week is "Another Cool Feeling (Maelthelvin Remix)" by The Outrunners.
