I went in for a job interview last week and I haven't heard back from them. I want to know what you all think the best way is to ask about the status of the position?


For the record - this is for another position within my company.

I haven't said anything yet. I want something a little more elegant than: You filled the position yet Boss?

This is an intra-company move. I've talked to the hiring manager a few times last week but, I haven't heard anything since. I knew they were interviewing other people so I wanted to be respectful of that but, I think a week is long enough to wait.

Naw I just went with "I'm just following up on the position. Are you all still in the interview process or have the postions been filled?"

That's probably the best approach to be honest. If you really know the guys over there, you can have some fun with them and show up with some of your stuff and ask where you'll be sitting.
