Simple question, yes, but not asked enough around here. What's your favorite movie? Maybe make a top 3.

1. The Departed

2. The Dark Knight

3. Collateral

It's painful not to include a movie by David Fincher, but that's how it goes.

Too hard to have a number one but:

-Goodfellas

-Star Wars Trilogy

-Indiana Jones Trilogy

-Godfather Duology

-Pulp Fiction

-Jackie Brown

So many more I can't think of.

You really can't ask me that. Too hard to choose.

Favourite film and what film I think is best is also a very different ballgame.

Difficult but...

1. Memento

2. Blade Runner (though I would probably still argue Alien is the better movie)

3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

(I like intellectual, psychological movies, as you have likely guessed)

Clockwork Orange, Mulholland Drive and Pulp Fiction.

Just three really, really, really fucking good movies.

I usually say it's Children of Men, but honestly it's a ridiculous question.

EDIT: Also, all the movies Beardz mentioned. Classics.

Pulp Fiction is def first. then, after that... it's a bit of a toss up. they're such different films.

It also pains me to leave out a Fincher film, though it just depends on the day of the week, really. (PLus, Fincher claims All the Presidents Men was a huge influence on him - and I really love that style of filmmaking) Sometimes, I'm in a Zodiac mood, others a Social Network or Seven groove. and then there's Fight Club, which I've kind of outgrown, but still remains one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

edit: ^fuck yeah Pulp Fiction. and David Fincher. 90s, fuck yeah

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Originally I saw this movie with a friend just randomly in theatre when it came out. Really had no idea what the movie was about, but thought the cast had promise. Had to see it another three times to wrap my head around it all. Great performances from everyone, I love the way they merge the sequences and shoot them. I enjoy a lot of movies, but this is far and away my favorite. If you've never seen it, I couldn't recommend it enough.

1- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

2- The Incredibles

3- Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

5- Moulin Rouge

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
A Clockwork Orange
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Citizen Kane

2001: A Space Odyssey
