What is your the most anticipated game as of right now?

I'm more excited for upcoming hardware.
PS6, Magnus, Steam Machine, Steam Frame.
Will there be full on full metal meltdowns from the gamers?

If I were still getting games, then probably Nioh 3. Loved the last one, and most of what we've seen of the upcoming title looks quite good.

Total War: Medieval III was just announced, and it's way too far off to be all that excited. And as much as I love the Witcher series (books/games), I have some reservations about the Witcher 4, though I hope CDPR ends up knocking it out of the park once again.

Probably either Ill, Shovel Knight Remake doohickey, or Deus Ex Remake just so I can be horrifically disappointed and play the original again instead.

Honorable mention to Cyberpunk sequel and upcoming Crazy Taxi game, as I'm curious to see if they get it right, which I currently doubt. Would also kill for another game like Blasphemous, but I think that door is shut.

Not much stuff out there that I really anticipate other than HL3 like everyone else or Arma 4. Maybe World of Warcraft: Midnight, only because they are hyping it up like crazy, and I swear if its not the best expansion yet, not almost, not "good enough," but truly on the level of Wrath or BC then It will be the time for me to finally close the books on this franchise.

Intergalactic

I have no intention of buying it or playing it, I just want to grab some popcorn and watch GAF go to war over its, very likely, cringe and forced shock value content.

I have more games than I know what to do with at the moment, but still there's always some new shiny thing.

WH40k: Dark Heresy- Owlcat is an amazing studio, Rogue Trader was great, this can't miss.

Xenonauts 2 - Played the early access off and on for years, but 1.0 is getting close s and I can finally play a full campaign.

Light No Fire - Pure hype but the idea of playing with friends and exploring an entire world together seems like pure joy.

I love threads that ask for a singular response and it turns into everyone just listing tons of shit. Like the most basic English comprehension is lost on way too many of you.

You can't pick one thing? Fine don't respond. Plenty of list threads on here.

It's far more interesting when people dilute their excitement into that ONE thing over all the others. You could make your list of games but then show what is the MOST wanted.

It's very hard to pick that one game and I think the game awards may change it entirely. Currently it's Wolverine because he's my favorite "super hero" from marvel. Even with insomniac being a woke mess… I still really want it.

PSO3
Wolverine
Next Santa Monica Studio project
Dark Outlaw Games project
Project Delta
Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Possible Dark Arisen like expansion for Dragons Dogma II by Kento Kinoshita

Half-Life 3
Portal 3
Miyazakis/FromSofts next big single-player game after The Duskbloods
Whatever Team Cherry do after Silksong/DLC
Whatever Red Candle Games do next(Nine Sols)
Lies of P 2(and maybe their upcoming survival horror game)

I don't know if the first two counts since we don't even know if they will ever release, but these are the games that I REALLY(really) want, as of now.

Just to add 3 known games that I look forward to:
Judas
Witcher 4
Control 2

Its not even close

Yups, if everything goes according to plan this game gonna sell 50m+ copies even in 2026 and lifetime 200m+ for sure, so even by proxy of that it has to be most anticipated game for most ppl, including "hardcore elitists" on gaf :P

Most anticipated? Can't pick one.

The first game was as close as you can get to a modern classic.

This is taking its sweet time, but I enjoyed what I played of the Early Access. Slow but steady updates.

The first one was really fun, and offered a lot of replayability. This is a spinoff, but it deserves my attention.

No Steam store page yet, but Troubleshooter: Banished Children will be a day one purchase. Be it as Early Acces or full release. The first one was great, despite lulzy translation.

The Yakuza series has become stale story wise. Can't wait for something new.

Atomic Heart 2
STALKER 2 (for real tho),,
Metro 4
Stalker 2 is out for real tho. Aside of some artefacts falling through the ground i had no issues at all on ps5.

Just dont go places ur not supposed to go and enter codes that you did not find in the game world. The only area that breaks ur game is the one with code mostly south and abit west of Cordon, you get to it later.

88 hours deep on ps5.

Metro 4..is that even coming? I loved and beat all the metros..

Probably Romeo is a Dead Man. I'm also very much looking forward to the new Yoshi game, although I need to see more.
