What people will do for a Nintendo DS...?

I've seen the DS for sale for $300 here in the DC metro area. All of the legitimate retail stores are sold out. Smaller "mom 'n pop" shops are marking them up 30-50% and still selling out of them. The major retail websites are also sold out of them.

Post your stories about the DS and this holiday season.

That's odd -- I live in the Philadelphia-area suburbs (about 45 minutes or so north) and see a decent amount of DS' for sale (Walmart, for example, had at least eight or nine a few days ago).

I dunno, I'm selling my DSes on ebay (in europe) for 250 euros shipping included and MArio 64 included (normal air shipping, not insured) and they fly off shelves if I can say :P

I've never seen one on store shelves either. Even when i got the DS they were still in the shipping box. The only ones in stock are the $300+ bundles with urbz and madden. They seem to be selling for like 200-225 on ebay.

What would you do-e-oooo for a Nintendo DS?

Commercial Host: "Excuse me sir, what would you do for a Nintendo DS?"

Average Street Person: "LOL FUXORZ YOU NINTENDON'T IS FER TEH KIDDIES. LOLLOL PSP4EVER LINKINPARKWHOOOO! I WOULD FOOK YOUR MOM FER NINTENDO DSLOL"

I still occasionally see DS on shelves, but not at any dedicated gaming store. If you look hard enough you might be able to find some... maybe a bundle or something...

I wish I lived where you were, I've tried desperately to find even one DS but I've had zero success.

Hah and I'm expected to find three DS for Christmas (I'm the videogame man for the extended family for Christmas presents).

It's not always this easy. I think Nintendo is probably doing a good job of keeping a steady stream a-comin'.

I've had at least two offers of blowjobs for a DS at work.

I'm kidding.

OR AM I?

And for the record, it wasn't from any of these guys:

My local costco had a big pile of them bundled with MarioDS for 175.
You are the most powerful Junior Member I have ever encountered. With a simple post you have caused me to leave my house and drive for a good half hour in the middle of the day in rush hour.

I salute you, nay I bow before your power.

Seriously though, thanks for the heads up!

pandora's cube, a samll videogame store chain in northern va, is selling it for 300 dollars. i don't think they sold a single one for retail price either. the owner is a fat bitch and his company has been seized by the fbi or some shit for selling moded xbox's, bootleg dvds games and various other crimes.

Best Buy has an f-load of 'em around here. And Gamestop sure didn't have any problem selling me one.

When you say "around here" in a post like this, it doesn't do anyone any good, because we don't know where you live. :lol
