Only a handful.
I have this curse where if I stop playing a game for a couple of days I just lose all interest no matter how much I was enjoying myself.
I can spend an entire weekend playing something for 30 hours only to immediately drop it after not having played two days.
Glad I'm not alone in this. Not only can I lose interest when not playing a game for two or three days, but I get triggered very easily by people talking about or me reading about or watching a game. After finishing Death Stranding 2 I started Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2, which I started two times before, playing roughly 80hours in all, but never finishing it... only to read on GAF about a potential Witcher 3 Switch 2 patch and thougt, hey... both Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 have cross save functionality, so the potential to finish them is greater, since I can play on PS5 when at home and can continue at work on Switch 2. All is fine...
And then I come across either a Mudrunner or Snowrunner video... I tested these games years ago on gamepass when I had an XBox, but never played much of it. Still, I had fun as I remember, so I see Mudrunner on Switch is only 7.50€, immediately bought it. Having fun, but wondering how much better it looks and feels to play Snowrunner on PS5 when at home, since the Switch 2 and the pro controller do not have analogue triggers, Snowrunner on Dual Sense must be a better experience. I see it is on discount, 20€... so I guess I'm shelving Cyberpunk 2077, play Snowrunner at home and intersperse that witch Witcher 3 when I feel like playing an RPG with dialogue and questing.
so this is me, most of the time. It's gotten better only for the fact that with kids I don't have the budget to buy what I want anymore. But still, there has to be a better way. But I guess I'd have to stop coming here to read on GAF and I have to lower my consumption of youtube content to not get triggered by a little video/trailer about something that might interest me. Then again, I can play a fantasy RPG and be fine... watch a science fiction TV show and feel I have to play something akin to that setting. It might be a curse like you said
