All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
I just got a new cellphone (Vodaphone Sharp 902sh), and apparently to play MP3s, I need them to be in DRM format. I have no clue what this is. Is there some sort of coverter I can use to convert regular MP3s into this format?

DRM = Digital Rights Management = your cell phone suck a big cock as an MP3 player.

That's what I was afraid of. :) But there HAS to be some way to convert my MP3s to work on it.

I'm also dreading trying to figure out how to put movies on this thing.

Just return it for a different model. Pretty much all carriers allow you to do that within 30 days.

I'm in Japan. It was hard enough getting the phone today in the first place. :)

Plus I like the phone's other features. If I can't play MP3s, it's not that big a deal to me.

DRM means your phone has to have rights to play/use those files. I think it works like when you purchase a file, its "encoded" with DRM to be usable only with your device. When you try to transfer it to another device, it doesnt work because it doesnt have the same IMEI number as your phone has.

best bet is to buy a phone with a "real" operating system like Symbian or Linux so you can install different kinds of 3rd party players.

I already found what I need. It's a program called "SD Jukebox." It's hard to find, apparenrtly, but it should be easier for me since I now live in the country it comes from.

Found some other methods, too, which seem to require purchasing shareware programs though.
