What would you want from a Dragon Age Legendary Edition?

snickers
better games ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

(If they would change the balancing and pacing of Inquisition, maybe I'd actually finish it. Plus that game's artstyle is pretty gorgeous, so if that were carried over to Origins and II, hey, that's tight)

Low hanging fruit. Edit - Ah okay.

At the very least, removal of the timers from the War Table in Inquisition.
Spreading the DLC gear and equipment out like Mass Effect Legendary Edition is doing.
Technical and performance improvements.

Dragon Age Inquisition environments are beautiful.

The characters on the other hand look like they were dipped in oil.

QoL improvements.

The ability to re-edit your Warden as this feature was available in DA2.
Mostly cosmetic stuff like graphics, character models need updating.
I would love a Dragon Age Remaster. The default character creation in DA is perfectly fine.
All DLC included, obviously from promos, etc.
Maybe some rebalancing.

I dunno, it seems pretty near perfect of a game.
Would be nice to romance the Desire Demon and/or Lady of the Forest. Appeal to the furry and demon fetishes.

I'd also love if they could revise the dialogue options a bit. Sometimes the spoken dialogue doesn't quite match the selection :lollipop_wink_tongue:
Not a problem in Origins, where the speech selection is exactly what the unvoiced player will speak.
LA Noire upgraded its dialogue selection, Dragon Age can do it!

Morrigan's butt to be sensored

The game actually being playable in 4k would be a start.

The UI only goes up to 720p. After that it shrinks (Due to scaling). You can better it with a mod, but certain UI elements will still be way too small in resolution over 1080p. 4k is almost unplayable.

It was a very early cross gen game, they tended to look weird.

This also reminds me that we went a whole gen with no exclusive DA game….

I would like Dragon Age 2 to be redone so that Hawk is a Power Ranger.... you won't even have to change the way the darkspawn look in 2 then, as they both look and spawn in like putty patrol, jumping out of thin air and then standing back waving there arms as they attack one by one.

They should skip remasters and do a full top to bottom remake of Dragon Age: Origins and then retcon 2 and 3 out of there with new games focusing on the grey wardens

Whoever thinks Dragon Age sucks is an idiot and there are some in this thread. Origins still looks great but I wouldn't mind some environmental and lighting treatment to the game, add more details to the world, etc. Dragon Age 2 cannot be saved from its poor environment and that dumb ass shit Anders thing but there's room for improvement. Inquisition does not need anything. Looks great and its still a fantastic game if you ignore the dumb ass side quests.

The games are so different and I think on different engines. I loved the first two games and through the 3rd game was an MMO that was skinned as a Dragon Age game at the last minute. The gameplay and world did not have a Dragon Age feel to it. Would be interesting if they did a so called legendary edition though.

Meh, series has gone downhill since the first. Origins is still great. The rest I could not care less about. Inquisition started great but slid downhill FAST. Couldn't' even bring myself to finish it after probably 9 hours or so.

So to answer OP's question, I'd rather them just focus on remaking Origins and leave the rest in the trash. Short of a full remake, I'd rather just play the first one on PC modded up I guess.

That's like the one big thing DA:I got right. DA:O had a great sense of being a real fantasy world with feudal politics we don't see in most games, and it was seen in spades. It for sure seems like a single player mmo at times but it has that DA flavor through and through

4K/120hz, an apology for Dragon Age II, and a reproduction of EA's internal documentation ceasing the employment of Jennifer Hepler.

Nothing. I've zero desire to replay the first 2 games and especially the first one in terms of gameplay and combat. As for Inquisition... for me to play this game again they have to pay me a lot of money. Could not care less about DA4.

Unlike Mass Effect this franchise is way more uneven. So I'd rather just get a remake of 1.

2 isn't even worth revisiting unless they make a full remake, and 3 is still fairly new (and IMO also not really worth going back to unless they make substantial changes to combat, sidequests and structure, at which point it would probably be a remake too)

I'd want more work put into them than ME got, I'd want better animation, better magic effects, huge improvements to the graphics overall etc.

Origins was great, refreshing and compelling. 2 was garbage, 3 was bad.

I have nothing to elaborate on 2, it's just garbage through and through.

3 or DA:I was done after heavy complaints of 2, so that's why the environments were varied and beautiful, but the whole game was just full of padding, the combat system is not meaningful, and doesn't have the vibe and story that Origins have.
When you first encountered Pride Demon in origins, it was a big milestone. Fighting the werewolves only to realize at the end that it was the elves who were evil was a great moment. Origins treated Pride demons just like another demons, and it lacks great moments like the werewolves.

Dragon Age is now just another corporate washed up franchise.

Or Metal Gear game

I just want them to be treated like the ME trilogy, a bit of a touch up, some systems refined a bit and playable on new consoles, I liked DA: I, I mean a lot did it was many's GotY in 2014

The game doesnt really need updated but if i had to pick something id say add the combat from the 2nd game into it IE when you use your abilities they actually feel like they connect, played it about 2 months ago on xbox one and man the game is fine to play unlike like original mass effect

I recently played through the entire trilogy including DLC and had a ton of fun. If they were to make a Legendary Edition I'd be happy with graphical improvements.

DA:I has a few annoying characters but I don't think that could be changed.

What platform? Did you play in order of release? Just curious as I've had people say to play the series out of order for some reason. And did you feel that overall the trilogy holds up, warts n all...?

I enjoyed all 3 games, Origins was of course the best one, but 2 and Inquisition were fine as well. Inquisition especially had some good DLC.

For the Legendary Edition I guess I would like (for consoles) 4k60fps, max PC settings, HDR, all DLC, and the same enhancements Mass Effect had.

What was the slogan/meme?

Press A for Awesome?

Dragon Age 2 was such a piece of shit. Reused so many environments, cut out all of the RPG elements. The ninja spawning enemies. Such a damn shame.

Bioware is a fucking shell of it's former self. They made Baldur's Gate! WTF!

Origins was the last game from bioware i truly enjoyed. After that it was all downhill and disappoiment for me.

Such a fantastic studio it was a long time ago. Now nobody treats it seriously anymore.
