What'd you think of Killswitch (Not Killzone)

I got this game when it came out on one of those TRU 3 for 2 deals. Played a bit but put it away since I got like 12 games that week.

In a bit of a drought lately, especially after finishing RE4 on Pro, so I dug out some old games and popped this baby in.

Graphics aren't as good as I remembered, but I like the gritty urban environment so far and duck and cover gameplay is pretty fun. I don't that the sniper rifle is steady as a rock when you zoom in, though (at least in the training level).

I read somewhere it's a one-trick pony, but I think I'll be OK with it as long as there's some level variety.

i really really enjoyed it. while the game is only 4 hours long or so (iirc), and the basic gameplay never changes, what it was was a blast in my opinion. i'm really looking forward to gears of war, since it appears to be VERY similiar in terms of gameplay.

It's NOT BAD, though it has some serious problems. In later missions, people can pick you off with you having no idea where they are, especially in multi-tiered environments when enemies are constantly respawning through doors after you think you've cleared any area. The slowdown in the PS2 version is problematic, too. But, overall, I think it's one of Namco Hometek's better in-house creations.

surprisngly fun, but it was too repeitive for me so i never finished the game. good mindless action though

It's a game that depended on its gimmicky cover mechanic too much. Not enough variety in the (stale/dead) environments also didn't help. It's cool for the 10-20 it goes for nowadays though.
