What's bundled with the Xbox 360?

Seems very unclear....though I guess there are plenty of other unanswered questions about other unanswered aspects of the console. So shall we all try and sort through this mess? What has everyone read?

So far they have said that component and composite video cables will be included, so that's pretty nice. The only thing that annoys me is that I might have to buy the S-Video cable if I want optical out (since I don't have a TV that supports component).....or will the Xbox 360 support my old Advanced AV Pack?

Will the system come with a wireless controller? I didn't even think that they were going to make wired controllers, but they are pretty plainly listed on Microsoft's site. It's possible that they could put wired controllers in the box to save money, but probably not likely given how hard they are pushing the wireless aspect of the system.

Will the Xbox Live Camera be included? For a time it seemed like it was going to to be, but so far it seems unconfirmed. Live headset included? That might make more sense than bundling the camera, but I guess we'll see.

I guess there's no hope for a demo disc anymore? Why did 1st parties stop doing this? Will MS make it up by putting demos on XBL from Day 1?

I'm not sure what will be bundled. But from day ONE, you will be able to purchase emulation configurations for Halo and Halo2 from the 'Backwards Compilability' menu in Xbox Live.

From my impressions...

Included:

Wireless controller
Remote Control
Component/Composite cabling.

Need to buy:

Rechargeable battery pack for controller (comes with cable)
Camera

GameCrazy is telling me to count on a $500 bundle purchase price. System, 3 games, and a peripheral.

STFU... you already have your facts. Get over it. 360 is BC.

Purchase emulation configurations :lol :lol

I was thinking, a sure way to grab people is let them play Halo 2 for free on Live. Just Halo 2, you have to pay for every other game.

How about backwards compatibility for old headsets and video cables?

Not sure about video cables, but AFAIK the controller has a standard headset jack you can plug your old headset into.

Sounds like a bad idea, actually. I bet that there's a large, large group of Live subscribers that are playing almost nothing but Halo 2.....take away the subscription fee and I doubt they'd pay for any other games. I know I wouldn't.

You got me worried so I called gamestop and they said no bundles for people who reserve early ( I put 50 dollars down last weekend )

I'd like to know, too.

From what I've read the demo units at E3 are wired but only wireless is used in the retail spec for controllers.

If the system has a 20gig removable hdd, camera, xbox live wireless communicator, do we really think it'll be under $300? Usually E3 is a launch platform for date and price but MS gave us neither. I'm starting to worry the X360 will cost over $299. I think MS needs to pack as much shit in as they can for $299 to give gamers value over the PS3.

I'm betting on a 20Gb HDD and wireless controller bundled in. The rest, probably not.

I don't want to steer this thread too far off topic, but we really don't know what the X360 will come bundled with and at what price right now.

I hope Sony and Nintendo bundle Hdds standard with their systems now. No reason to limit ourselves to flash memory anymore.
