What's the best Peer2Peer file sharing program?

What's the best file sharing Peer2Peer program in terms of no spyware, speedy downloads, and tons of content? I've been using Kazaa Lite K++ for a while now, but it seems to be running out of steam. I can find the files that I want on emule, but that whole queue-system keeps me from ever being able to download a file. I could leave it to download for a week, like I'm currently doing for Mystaria, and it wouldn't even be half-way done.

I know about bittorrent, but the problem with that is once I find the file I'm looking for, most of the time it's no longer seeded.

Soulseek is great for finding music now. It's REALLY picked up over the past 6 months. I use it constantly. That and IRC. IRC rocks, but you gotta' learn how to use it. :D

I DLed IRC a loooong time ago, but not for file sharing. I was just curious about it and wondered what it was all about. All I saw was a bunch of chatrooms in what looked like DOS Font, a bunch of stuff scrolling, weird colors, etc. It was very confusing like looking on the back of a TV dinner and seeing "Microwave Oven" instructions. I mean, which one do they mean? A Microwave? or and Oven? =( =*(

I haven't used IRC in a while (last time I used it regularly was when DALNet was thriving). What are some good servers to use for this sort of thing?

I still just use eMule.
The only thing eMule is good for is in complete rips of porn. It's way too slow to be practical for anything else.

Eh. I get what I want off of it within a reasonable period of time.

I don't really use P2P that often as it is.

There are thousands. Basically, what you do is go here: www.IRCSpy.com, search what you're looking for (i.e. Diablos Wants Lay) and you're going to get a list of servers that are currently hosting that file. If you're using the newest Internet Explorer, all you have to do is click on the packet name (i.e. #07 or #7) and IRC will automatically launch itself. Allow it to connect to the room the server is located at. Once you're in the room, press Ctrl-V and you will paste a generated request for the file you want.

See, when you click on the packet number, it automatically generates a request and adds it onto your clipboard; so all you have to do is CTRL+V and you're set. The message should look like this:

/ctcp Server1234 xdcc send #7

Uhm, a microwave is just that - a wave of energy. A microwave oven is an oven that works by using microwave energy. If that confuses you, you should probably just steer well clear of IRC :p
